Good Bye Florence....HELLO MILAN!!!! (Day 4)

We purchased the Trenitalia tickets from Florence to Milan for 25 Euros each. Coach wasn't too bad.

Our hotel is located a couple of steps away from the 7 Star Galleria, which is a small high end shopping mall. There were a couple of restaurants there too, but probably all aimed at tourists. We actually liked "Galleria" restaurant, as they had really good tiramisu and panna cotta.

To the right of the mall, looking in from our hotel, is the famous Milan Cathedral ("Duomo di Milano"). The cathedral took 600 years to built. Let me just say, the building is extremely impressive.

Of course, with such a main tourist attraction, there MUST be scammers around. We've read about these people before we arrived. This greatly helped us avoided some scammers. Our first encounter was when someone tried to put a bracelet onto Wayne's hand. I saw, jumped up and ran. He saw me jump and ran, so he shook his arm and ran too. The scammer laughed and told us to "calm down". Probably thought "tourists.."

At the entrance to the 7 Galleria shopping.

Milan Cathedral - so many tourists!

Inside the Cathedral

Beautiful

Galleria restaurant - where we had lunch and dinner. Good panna cotta and tiramisu.

Dinner at Nabucco. It was pretty good. Again, good panna cotta.

Cathedral at night. It felt different with less tourists about. Definitely one of the most dramatic building I've ever seen.
