Vacation Down Under - Things To Do

Sydney is AMAZING. Like I said in the last post, there's not much to see in terms of history, but there were plenty to experience in terms of culture. Sydney is like San Francisco, Singapore, and Portland mix into one. There is great diversity like San Francisco, superb food from all different culture like Singapore, and friendly people like Portland. Furthermore, the city is clean!

To sum up the six days spent in Sydney, here is a list of the most memorable part of our trip:

- Walking around and people watch in downtown, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and the "the Rocks".

- EAT EAT EAT!!!! The best food items were Wagyu beef and anything fresh at the fish market. Restaurants we ate at were (1) Porteno - okay, (2) Rockpool Bar & Grill - pretty good, (3) Pony - I liked the chicken, best chicken ever, (4) the fish market - so awesome, (5) Messima - best gelato so far, (6) Mamak - roti heaven, and (7) Harry's de Wheels - meat pie, it's worth a try.

- The animals - koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devil, and plenty of birds. We decided to go to Featherdale Wildlife Park instead of Taronga Zoo. Totally worth the detour! We learned a lot about Australia's nature on that tour.  Basically, everything is poisonous. Australia has the most poisonous spider, octopus, snakes... the wildlife is very different than anywhere else.

- Blue Mountains - it's like the Grand Canyon with trees! Pretty, but I am not the type to enjoy the outdoors. Besides, the world's most poisonous spider, snake, and whatever else lives there.

- Beach - we only made it to Manly Beach. There were jellyfish EVERYWHERE, and it scared me off.  I did not want to go to Bondi after that.
