Escape to Paradise - Day 2

Day two in Bora Bora consisted of a day trip to the main island via the hotel's complimentary water shuttle (from Thalasso resort to the Le Moana resort).  I have to say that there isn't much in Bora Bora aside from resort paradise.  The walk around the island highlights what entrepreneurs can do to (what it seems) a third world country.  The locals seem pretty relaxed and carefree, with little technology and advancement.  Aside from the resorts, the place doesn't seem to be developed.

The only disappointment, so far, in this whole trip is the sand.  The lagoon and beach are as blue and clear as can be, but we MUST wear reef shoes.  There are so many corals and sea shells at the bottom, that it's easy for our feet to get cut.

Anyhow, here are some pictures, as they speak louder than words.  All I can say is Bora Bora's scenery is breathtaking.  I can't imagine such a utopia actually existed! Pictures (and my poor photography skills) do this place no justice.

Last night's sunset by the pool

Morning walk to breakfast. It was so humid that my camera lens got foggy

Ferry ride to Intercontinental Le Moana (the sister resort on the main island)

At a public beach. The water was so clear, I can see the various shades of blue. Too bad the camera wasn't able to capture how amazing this place is.

At Le Moana resort - I have to say that we got it good at the Intercontinental Thalasso.

Ahh!!! I'm so spoiled!!!!
