We arrived at around 9:00 pm the night before and settled into our suite at the Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen. It's a new resort and thus, there are a bit of growing pains on the service side. However, the facilities were fantastic! We got an unobstructed ocean view room. It was an amazing site to wake up to.
The first day was spent lounging around the property and walking down to the nearby 5th Avenue, where all the shops, eateries, and night life are located.
