Our day consisted of (in no particular order, except waking up first and sunset later):
- waking up before the sunrise
- star gazing before the sun rises
- watching that sunrise
- relaxing
- reading
- staring out into the open waters
- snorkeling (we did this twice)
- swimming
- drinking cocktails
- walking on the beach (it takes 15-20 minutes to walk around the whole atoll)
This might sound like torture for some people, eight days and seven nights with nothing to do. No museums, no bars or nightlife, no shopping, no city, no reservations to dinner, NO AGENDA!!! But for us, it was very much needed! Although I love my job and enjoy my work, I did not realize how stressful it can be until I was able to just let go and do nothing. After that, the days passed by too quickly.
All in all, I highly recommend Maldives for anyone who needs a serious get away to detox! Even though the resort was 90% full, it didn't feel very FULL. With only 51 villas, there were days when we were the only one sitting by the pool! This is truly a deserted paradise in the middle of nowhere!!!
Now, back to reality!!!! Can't wait to get back into the office! But first, a couple of my favorite pictures! Best of all #nofilter

Just sitting and watching the sunset for 2 hours during the sundowner |
A deserted and pristine beach |
That empty pool I was talking about. I guess it was empty that day because the weather was less than ideal |

Morning walks and seeing this fella on the rocks. HI SEBASTIAN! |
Even with less than perfect weather, it's still gorgeous! (it rained that day, and there were a lot of waves...seriously....right?) |
Wayne so relaxed, even with the threatening clouds behind |
