Under the Tuscan Sun - New Years Eve in Florence (Day 3)

Day 3: Florence

We walked around Florence all day on New Years Eve, as all the museums were open. Figured this would be a good day to stay local. Florence is such a beautiful city, full of culture, history, and life. The days after Christmas filled the air with a bit of magic, as the decorations were still out. The air was crisp and actually pretty cold. It snowed for about fifteen minutes.

Activities for the day:
- Duomo
- Academie Museum where Michaelangelo's David resides
- Walked the Ponte Vecchio
- Walked along the Arno River
- Hiked up to Piazzale Michaelangelo to get one of the greatest views of Florence
- Ate at a local Trattoria ZaZa
- New Years Eve dinner at one of the oldest Florentine restaurant, Buca Lapi, and tasted the famed Florentine steak (HOPR is way better!)

Waiting in line to the Academia to see Michaelangelo's David. It was SNOWING!!!
